Week 8

The tiredness is real and so is the nausea — here's what got us through the heaviest weeks of the first trimester.

Last updated 20 May 2026

Week 8 is often when it all feels very real — and very tiring. If you’re wiped out by 3pm and living off plain crackers, you’re in good company.

What a lot of people feel right now

  • Bone-deep tiredness (naps are not a luxury, they’re a strategy)
  • Nausea that doesn’t read the “morning” memo
  • Going off foods you used to love

What helped us

Small and often beat big meals. A water bottle you actually like. And being kind to yourself about the to-do list — it’ll keep.
